Connex Release 2023.4
We are excited to announce the release of Connex 2023.4, which introduces the highly anticipated project activation and deactivation feature. With this release, project owners and administrators gain greater control and flexibility over project statuses, allowing for improved project management and organization. See all news here.
Deactivate projects
The new activation/deactivation feature enables project owners and administrators to easily activate or deactivate projects as needed. By deactivating a project, it is hidden from standard users, decluttering their project list and focusing their attention on active projects. Deactivated projects remain accessible to project owners and administrators, providing them with the ability to review, modify, or reactivate the projects at any time.

Project Deactivation/Activation
Introducing the ability to deactivate/activate a project as the first step towards implementing additional project statuses.
Deactivation
Project deactivation can be initiated by Project Owner/Admin in the Project Administrator module.
Projects can be deactivated at any time.
The deactivation timestamp is recorded when a project is deactivated.
Deactivated projects are only visible to Project Owners/Admins in the Administration → Project list, displaying the status and deactivation timestamp.
Standard users will no longer see deactivated projects in the project list.
The Project Information overview show the project's deactivation status and timestamp.
The dashboard will exclude any tasks related to deactivated projects.
The task list will exclude any tasks related to deactivated projects.
The notification overview will no longer display any notifications related to deactivated projects.
Activation
Project activation can be initiated by Project Owner/Admin in the Project Administrator module.
Projects can be activated at any time.
The deactivation timestamp is cleared when a project is activated.
The Project Information overview reflects the project's activation status.
Re-activated projects are visible to all users who have access to the project.
Please note
Standard users can still access a deactivated project if they have a link via:
A previous email notification.
A linked task.
Access and actions to deactivated projects are currently unrestricted.
A warning banner will be added for users navigating a deactivated project in a future release.
Reports
Location has been added to the Task Overview and the Registration Overview (both Checklist and QA plans), now matching the format used in other overviews.
Location
Resolved an issue where deleting a sublevel would corrupt or delete files with the same name in upper levels.
RIB Project - Connex Integration
Fixed an issue causing incorrect application names in RIB Project when exporting files from version sets to comments in Connex.
Tasks
Addressed an issue where the approval subtasks were not displaying the location in the overview.
